The brief

Accelerate feature development and UX quality on the Amberstudent React Native app by embedding a developer (Anirudh) to build and stabilise core booking/payment/map modules, and a product designer (Himanshu) to drive research-led UX improvements across the entire conversion funnel — from discovery through booking confirmation — across multiple international markets.

What we built

A fully featured React Native mobile application for Amberstudent — a global student accommodation marketplace. Anirudh Malik built and stabilised core transactional modules including My Bookings management, interactive map view with marker clustering, sold-out/enquire-now flows, Stripe payment integration, and a multi-SDK analytics stack (MoEngage, Singular, Zendesk). Himanshu Kandpal served as an embedded product designer executing 40+ weeks of continuous UX work spanning: Lead Form 2.0 research and redesign, complete Book Form revamp with multi-country (UK/US/AUS) variations, Stripe payment page with failure recovery UX, property comparison tool, NPS collection flow, homepage personalisation for repeat users, review collection flow across app/web/mweb/email, FAQ integration, chatbot UI, and — critically — a ground-up Design System V2 covering typography, colours, components, and navigation tokens aligned with development teams.

Live in production

My Bookings module, Map View with clustering (feature-flagged), Sold-Out/Enquire-Now flow, Stripe payment integration with multi-type support, MoEngage/Singular/Zendesk SDK stack, and Design System V2 components all delivered and handed off. Book Form revamp, Lead Form 2.0, Payment Failure screens, NPS UI, Compare Properties flow, Review Collection flow, FAQ integration, and Homepage Personalisation designs completed and in handoff/UAT stages as of end of engagement.

    End-to-end implementation of the My Bookings section including no-booking empty states, payment triggers from bookings, pull-to-refresh, and state persistence across login/logout cycles.
